As a passionate yachtsman, owner Alberto Ghelfi has always lived in harmony with nature and the environment. Our company philosophy is based on an ongoing commitment to minimise the environmental impact of our production and products.
In line with this commitment, we have published our first sustainability report, which is an important step towards greater transparency and responsibility. We are firmly dedicated to social responsibility, promoting safe and sustainable working conditions within our company.
Sustainability Report
For over thirty years, Sanyleg has pursued a growth model based on responsibility, innovation, and attention to people. For this reason, in 2024 we once again chose to voluntarily draft and publish our Sustainability Report, a tool that illustrates the company’s journey towards responsible and long-term growth, sharing the results achieved, the commitments undertaken, and the goals that guide our vision of sustainable development.
Sharing our commitment to a better future
The report includes a detailed analysis of the results achieved in recent years, inspired by the international standards of the GRI – Global Reporting Initiative and by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals, to which we contribute through concrete and measurable actions. Through these pages, we highlight the path we have taken to reduce our environmental impact, improve the well-being of our employees, and promote ethical and transparent governance.
The goals outlined in the report are the result of the work and passion of the people who make up our team. Thanks to their tireless commitment and daily dedication, we have achieved tangible results, continuing to improve and innovate with a view to sustainability and respect for the environment and society.

As a global leader in compression sock production, we are constantly committed to improving our production processes. We understand the importance of providing high-quality products that meet our customers’ needs while also preserving the environment and supporting the community in which we operate.
Sanyleg focuses on:
- Reducing energy consumption;
- Systematic and structured verification of actual resource utilisation to prevent any form of waste;
- Implementation of product traceability systems;
- Active support for the short supply chain.

Materials and Short supply
Our socks not only stand out for their therapeutic effectiveness but are also an integral part of a sustainable development strategy. We actively promote the short supply chain, designing and producing our products entirely in the hosiery district of Castel Goffredo, in the province of Mantua. This approach allows us to limit the circulation of goods, thereby reducing polluting emissions and supporting the local economy.
Our constant attention to quality is reflected in the selection of high-quality raw materials, which has enabled us to obtain various certifications, including UNI EN ISO 9001, UNI EN ISO 13485, and UNI EN ISO 14001. Furthermore, all raw materials used in the production of our socks are Oeko-tex certified, ensuring high standards of safety and sustainability.
Transparency and traceability are fundamental values for us : every step of our production is documented and carefully monitored. By supporting the local economy and committing to environmental sustainability, we guarantee not only the quality and craftsmanship of Made in Italy but also reduced environmental impact.

Recycled yarns
We use and promote the use of eco-sustainable yarns in our products. To achieve this goal, we have with the aim of producing compression socks using recycled materials.
The process begins with the recovery of waste from various sources,such as discarded carpets, abandoned fishing nets, and plastic waste accumulated in oceans and landfills. These materials undergo a regeneration and purification process, obtaining recycled polyester and polyamide that offer the same performance and quality as virgin yarns. This choice is part of Sanyleg’s broader commitment to enhancing products made with materials of controlled origin, respecting environmental and social criteria extended to all stages of the production chain.
